Depending on which type of All-on-4 dental implants you have, you may be able to remove them on your own. There are two primary types:

• Removable All-on-4’s: as the name suggests, these ones are designed to snap out easily at the end of the day.
• Fixed All-on-4’s: these implants are a little more stable in the mouth, but they require a dentist’s assistance to be removed.

The All-on-4 technique has been increasing in popularity in recent years. They cost about half as much as traditional implants and work for patients with minor bone loss as they require only four implants. Many patients also find All-on-4 (also called “Snap On” implants) appealing because there’s a shorter treatment and recovery time. Implants can often be placed the same day as tooth extractions.
